Additional investigations

Research beyond the core modules

  1. 01

Lissajous figures and dynamic optical tweezers

Investigated how input sound-wave frequency affects the shape, size and complexity of resultant Lissajous figures.

  2. 02

    Atomic emission spectroscope

Built and tested a spectroscope, then used Python to process, analyse and visualise emission-spectrum data.

  3. 03

    Luminol chemiluminescence

Investigated how temperature and catalysts affect oxidation rate and the intensity of light produced.

  4. 04

    Bacteriophages and S. aureus

Evaluated bacteriophages as a possible alternative to antibiotics for treating Staphylococcus aureus infections.
